How to Restrict Dashboard Access Using an IP Allow List

Learn how to enable an IP allow list in the UserWay Management Console and restrict dashboard access to approved IP addresses only.

IP Allow List lets you restrict access to the UserWay Dashboard by allowing sign-ins only from approved IP addresses. IP Allow List is generally best suited for organizations that use static IP addresses, such as corporate offices or VPNs with dedicated outbound IPs. If your internet provider assigns dynamic IP addresses, your IP address may change periodically without notice.

When this happens, you and other authorized users could lose access to the dashboard until the new IP address is added to the allow list.

Before enabling this feature, confirm that all users who need dashboard access connect through known, stable IP addresses or have a process in place to update the allow list when IP addresses change.

⚠️ Important: When an IP allow list is enabled, only the IP addresses on the allow list can access the UserWay dashboard. All connection attempts from other IP addresses will be blocked.

  1. Go to https://manage.userway.org/ and sign in with your UserWay account.

  2. Select your profile icon in the upper-right corner, then select My Account.

  3. Locate the IP Allowed List setting and enable it.

  4. Enter the IP addresses that should be allowed to access your dashboard,

    Save your changes.

Expected Result

Only the IP addresses included in the allow list can access your UserWay dashboard. Access attempts from all other IP addresses will be denied.
