Install the UserWay Accessibility Widget

This section walks you through how to access your widget embed code, install it on your site, and choose the setup option that best fits your needs. Most users can complete installation in just a few minutes.

Step 1: Create Your UserWay Account

  1. Go to https://userway.org/get and follow the steps to create your account

  2. After signing in, you’ll land on your My Sites dashboard.

Step 2: Access Your Widget Embed Code

  1. Log in to your widget dashboard:
    https://manage.userway.org/login

  2. After signing in, you’ll land on your My Sites dashboard.

  3. From the left‑hand menu, select Embed Code.

  4. At the top of the page, copy your site’s unique embed script.

  5. Paste the script into the <head> tag of your website’s HTML.

You’ll need access to your CMS or website builder to complete this step.

Step 3: Use a Platform-Specific Installation Guide (Optional)

Below the embed code, you’ll find platform‑specific installation guides and videos for common systems such as:

  • Shopify

  • WordPress

  • Custom HTML or other CMS platforms

Select your platform to follow a step‑by‑step walkthrough if needed.

Step 3: Choose How the Widget Appears on Your Site

The widget supports multiple setup options depending on how visible or customizable you want the experience to be. The Standard Implementation is recommended for most sites.

Standard Implementation (Recommended)

This is the default and most common installation method and fastest to deploy.

Key details:

  • A floating accessibility widget icon

  • Full user‑facing accessibility tools

  • Automated remediation enabled

  • No additional configuration required

Customization options:

  • Icon color, size, and screen position
