An Accessibility Statement exists to show site visitors the current status of your website’s accessibility as well as any accessibility-related efforts your business is working on right now.
As customers of UserWay's AI-Powered Accessibility Widget, you are taking web accessibility seriously. It is important to let make your customers aware that you have made this a priority.
To generate the statement, please follow the steps:
- Open our generator via the link http://userway.org/generate
- Add the Business email (required) > Generate My Accessibility Statement
- On the next steps add the Organization name (required) > Website address (required)
- Click on Generate My Accessibility Statement to generate the statement.
The generator just generates the content in editable HTML or TXT formats. After generating the content, a page such as https://example.com/statement must be manually created and the content copied and pasted on this page.
To add the statement link on the widget footer:
- Login to your Widget settings
- Click on Widget settings > Change Acessibility statement link
- Fill the form with the link to the statement page on your website, for e.g: example.com/statement
- Then add a title on Acessibility Statement Page Title
