Total monthly pageviews are an important metric for UserWay. Customers occasionally reach out to support asking to review the pageviews. Hopefully, the following will help clarify why Google Analytics and UserWay's pageview counts may vary.

Google Analytics calculates the number of the "pageview" events sent which can vary by website depending on how the Google Analytics script is implemented. Google Analytics doesn't include requests from bots, search engines, scanners, etc. Additionally, Google Analytics doesn't send events in non-cookie environments like incognito mode or cases when visitors don't accept analytics tracking.

UserWay statistics count each request to UserWay's CDN. UserWay doesn't count pageviews. UserWay counts how many times UserWay assets are being loaded from our CDN. i.e. When the UserWay script is loaded.
