An accessibility statement demonstrates your website’s current accessibility status and highlights your commitment to ongoing accessibility improvements.
As a UserWay customer using the AI-Powered Accessibility Widget, you are actively prioritizing web accessibility, and it’s important to share this commitment with your visitors. It is also important that you train 2-4 customer support representatives on how to respond to accessibility concerns. If possible, set up a specific email address like "accessiblity@yourdomain.com" that will be sent directly to the trained support representatives to respond.
With just a few steps, you can generate your accessibility statement, create an accessibility page, and add links to your website footer and widget.
Quick Links
Generating an Accessibility Statement: A Step-by-Step Guide
Go to the Accessibility Statement Generator: Visit UserWay’s Accessibility Statement Generator and enter your "Business Email." Click "Continue."
Enter Your Company Information: Fill in your company name and website address, then click "Generate."
Download Your Statement: Scroll to the bottom of the generated statement to download it in HTML or TXT format.
Where Should You Place Your Accessibility Statement?
It’s best to create a dedicated page on your website for your accessibility statement, such as https://example.com/Accessibility

UserWay provides a statement template via the generator, but the page itself must be created and published on your website.
